Parliamentary Procedure
The Rules of Parliamentary Procedure are designed to help your Association work effectively. Your Parliamentary Authority is the current edition of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised (currently the 11th edition.)
A local unit leader is encouraged to purchase a copy of Robert’s, to become familiar with it, and to refer to it in meetings. It is an invaluable tool to expedite meetings without compromising the rights of members, and following its precepts will help your unit or council avoid pitfalls.
